Garth Fuller

Garth is a life long amateur athlete with more than a dozen completed marathons, including Bermuda, New York, Ottawa, Seattle, Las Vegas, Victoria and Boston. Garth has also completed numerous ½ marathons, dozens of 10 k’s and 8 k’s, as well as a being a Vancouver Island Race Series regular.

Garth turned his attention to Triathlon in 2011 and completed his first Ironman in the 63 yr old age category in 2012.  He has gone on to complete over 35 Triathlons, placing 1st in approximately ½ of the races, and another 14 others on the Podium. Garth is currently training for Ironman #4 in Santa Rosa.

Triathlon History
13 Sprints, 9 Olympics, 7 HIM, 2 ITU long course, and 3 Ironman. Two of those Ironman were podium finishes, 3rd in Whistler and Barcelona. Garth has also participated in Ironman Relay, team triathlons and Aquabike. Garth is also Triathlon BC’s Long-Distance Champion in his age division for 2 consecutive years (2015 and 2016.)

BSAC 2nd class and NASDS open water diver, NSS (National Speleological Society) certified Cave Diver.

Certified Recompression Chamber operator, Bronze Medallion, Bronze Cross, First Aide

NCCP level 2 Triathlon Coaching certification.

Coaching swimming with Tyee Swim Club, and Westshore Aquatics.

Garth will be coaching our TriSTART program beginning Feb 27 at Commonwealth Place.
