As an NCCP Triathlon Coach my goal is to guide you in achieving your triathlon goals – with my help you will be amazed at what you can accomplish. I fully understand the challenge of most age-group triathletes to fit fitness in their busy lifestyles. However with efficient swim, bike and run techniques as well as an individualized training program we can find a balance that is just right for you.

My journey in triathlon started over 10 years ago when I participated in a sprint triathlon as the runner on a relay team. I was amazed at the fantastic camaraderie and triathlon’s inclusiveness for all ages and sizes. Also here was an opportunity for me to add some multisport variety to my run training and achieve both upper and lower body strength and fitness. So in addition to my regular running I started cycling to work throughout the winter and registered for swim stroke improvement lessons. The next spring I was so proud of myself to have completed my first sprint distance triathlon.trans Bob Gebbietrans Bob Gebbie

In the ensuing years I continued to study technique, nutrition and program planning and the fruits of my labour are reflected in some of my accomplishments:

  • Two-time winner of Tri BC Race Age-Group Series
  • Three-time member of Canadian Age Group World Championship Teams (Honolulu, Vancouver, Gold Coast)
  • 2005 Canadian Long Distance Triathlon Age Group Champion
  • 4 Ironman finishes (Canada 02, Canada 04, Canada 08, and Western Australia 08)
  • NCCP Triathlon Competition Coach

As a mature adult (aka old fart) I have developed a unique perspective for teaching adults to unlearn bad habits and develop very efficient swim, bike and run technique. I want to share my strategies and training techniques to enable you to achieve your goals whether it is to complete your first sprint distance triathlon or to improve upon your previous Ironman performance.
